Equipping the Special Millions (ETSM) Through Inclusive Community Outreach

Government Collaboration & Impact
Over the last three years, Project SARATHY has partnered with the Government of Karnataka’s Block Education Department, targeting government primary schools to:
Reduce dropout rates among children with disabilities
Build inclusive classrooms that value diversity and promote equal learning
Foster peer empathy, where neurotypical children support classmates with varied needs
Train teachers and support staff to implement inclusive education principles in daily classroom settings
Focus Areas
Educational & Therapeutic Access
Functional education and early stimulation for children with disabilities, tailored through Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Community Empowerment
Certified training for ASHA and Anganwadi workers, parents, and government school teachers to identify and support developmental delays.
Inclusive Classroom Integration
Working with seven community schools, the program builds inclusive learning environments through teacher capacity-building and peer sensitization, promoting empathy and mutual support.
Policy and Systemic Advocacy
Active engagement with government stakeholders, healthcare providers, and education authorities to embed sustainable inclusion practices.
